Beacon Hill Homes
nestled in the heart of Spokane’s Sweeping Valley
Beacon Hill's central location makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the Spokane region, providing easy access in every direction. However, extensive work and planning over decades have laid the groundwork for an intentional community on Beacon Hill, making it a place you may not want to leave.
-
Central, Easy Access
Beacon Hill is situated in the center of Spokane’s L-shaped valley. Families will enjoy easy access, less than a 15 minute drive, to Dowtown Spokane (south), Spokane Valley (east), Riverside State Park (west) and Mead (north).
Offsite roadway improvements such as the newly constructed Welleseley underpass opened in November, 2023. This gives access to the newest connection to the new North-South 395 corridor and I-90. Access north to Highway 395 or Highway 2 takes less than a few minutes. When fully completed, access south to I-90 will take less than 10 minutes.
Improvements from Freya Avenue to East Wellesley and continuing up Valley Springs Road create a safe and appealing public road for the Beacon Hill community. The NEPDA/City of Spokane have secured funding for road updates from Freya Avenue to Havana Street. These road improvements are estimated to be completed in 2025.
-
Completed Water Infrastructure
Beacon Hill has the necessary water and water pressure infrastructure in place to welcome community members for it’s preliminary phases, Beacon Hill Addition and the Vistas at Beacon Hill.
The Beacon Hill Booster Station was completed in August 2023. This Booster Station pumps water from the City of Spokane North Hill Tank up to the Water Storage Tank on Beacon Hill. Tank construction of the Beacon Hill Water Storage Tank was completed in December 2023 by Baker Silo of Lynden, WA. The 57,000 gallon tank is intended to serve the 580 combined permitted units in the Beacon Hill Addition (Phase 1A & 1B) and Vistas at Beacon Hill Plats.

Historic Charm Meets Modern Amenities
Beacon Hill aims to honor it’s heritage while welcoming modern conveniences. Our master plan includes Native American heritage sites, as well as marks historic homestead and orchard sites. Maintaining these areas creates a sense of place, and grounds the new state-of-the-art homes and community spaces within their history. Beacon Hill has always been a favorite place for us all.
Just down the hill is Spokane’s oldest neighborhood, Hillyard, which is on the Spokane and National Historic Registers. Hillyard was established and platted in 1892 as the Great Northern Railroad began to lay track in the Pacific Northwest. The buildings went up between 1901 and 1948. These buildings, with their unique character, are now filled with pubs, shops, and entertainment. Modernizing our historic spaces is a value maintained at Beacon Hill to create a vibrant, dynamic community.
-
Community Momentum
As noted, both Hillyard and Beacon Hill have had positive momentum in the last decade. Many of Hillyard’s historic buildings have been renovated and many homes in North East Spokane are being updated.
Within the Beacon Hill property, Nationwide Capital broke ground on The Vistas at Beacon Hill in May of 2023. The Vistas is part of the Beacon Hill master plan and sits on the northwest corner of Beacon Hill. Their project consists of 26 residential buildings and a clubhouse with a mix of 83 town home units and 140 apartment units. Site work took place in 2023 with vertical construction coming in spring of 2024.
Completion of the Vistas at Beacon Hill will bring residents and add vibrancy to the Beacon Hill community vision.

Neighborhood Recreation
Recreation is at the heart of the Beacon Hill community. The Beacon Hill Community will encourage engagement and recreation within park and open spaces to be available in the future. These spaces will preserve areas to experience solitude and connect with existing community hiking and biking trail systems. Beacon Hill will continue to work hard with the Evergreen Eastern Washington Mountain Bike Alliance to preserve the on-property mountain biking trails.
Adjacent to Beacon Hill are many more recreation communities. Esmerelda Golf Course is just west of Beacon Hill and offers flat fairways lined with over 2,000 trees. Minnehaha, a popular location for rock climbing is nestled on the south border of Beacon Hill and offers over 70 climbing routes and over 100 bouldering routes. For shoppers, Hillyard’s Historic Business District offers many opportunities, especially for antiquing.
